About e-mail lists...

Academic Pursuit.org encourages participation via several e-mail-ditributed lists.

Mailing lists are services which send you information via e-mail. To receive a mailing list, you subscribe to it, much as you subscribe to a magazine. Messages sent to that mailing list are then delivered to your e-mail address. To stop receiving a mailing list, you have to unsubscribe from it. Mailing lists will send you information on how to do this when you subscribe. There are three kinds of mailing lists:

  • E-newsletters: These are electronically distributed publications written by an institution such as The Troeller Institute for Global Studies.
  • Announcement lists: These are lists where all postings are reviewed and approved by the list administrator, and are usually limited to product announcements, press releases or notifications of updates or other items of interest on a product.
  • Discussion lists: Interactive lists that provide users the ability to post messages and exchange ideas and information with each other.

Mailing lists are not a replacement for professional advice, formal support or technical assistance, but by joining these lists you can share experiences, questions, and comments with others via informal communications.

Here are some recommendations.

Cultural Events
This announcement list publishes cultural events from around the world that uplift the mind, heart, soul, body and intellect of people.

Intellectual Discussion Group
The Intellectual Discussion Group is a list devoted to the discussion of all possible topics in an informed, friendly and intelligent manner.

Please note that we recommend newsletters as a convenience to you, but we cannot help you with problems with these lists and we do not have any control over their operation and content. Please contact the list's administrator for help with these lists.

If your university, institute or organization offers e-mail newsletters, become an Academic Pursuit.org partner and we'll include it here. Learn more...
